Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026. This policy explains what Vedic AI collects, why we collect it, how it is protected, and how users can control or delete their data.

1. Who We Are

Vedic AI provides AI-assisted Jyotish, kundali, dream, prashna, palm, face, panchang, chat, and subscription features through our website and Android app. For privacy questions, contact support@vedicai.co.in.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the data needed to operate, secure, personalize, and improve the service.

  • Account data: Google sign-in identifier, email address, display name, profile image, account status, subscription tier, and authentication/session records.
  • Birth and astrology data: date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, latitude/longitude, timezone, generated charts, readings, and saved preferences.
  • Content you submit: chat messages, dream/prashna questions, kundali inputs, feedback, ratings, and generated reports.
  • Images and media: palm or face photos submitted for image-based readings. These are used to process the requested feature.
  • Purchase data: Google Play product id, purchase token, order/transaction identifiers, subscription status, and entitlement history. Payments are processed by Google Play Billing.
  • Device and diagnostics data: app version, device type, OS version, crash diagnostics, security/integrity signals, notification token, and limited product analytics events.
  • Communication data: support requests and account deletion requests you submit.

3. How We Use Data

  • To create and secure your account.
  • To generate readings, reports, charts, conversations, and personalized app experiences.
  • To verify subscriptions and prevent purchase-token fraud.
  • To send push notifications you have enabled, such as daily guidance, panchang, streak, or account notifications.
  • To detect abuse, protect paid features, and verify app integrity.
  • To diagnose crashes, measure reliability, and improve product quality.
  • To respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.

4. Analytics, Crash Reporting, and Service Providers

Vedic AI does not sell personal data and does not use third-party advertising networks to monetize user data. We use trusted service providers to operate the product, including Google/Firebase, Google Play Billing, Supabase, Vercel, PostHog, Sentry, and infrastructure or AI providers used to process requested readings.

Product analytics can be controlled in the app settings. Security, billing, and crash diagnostics may still be processed where necessary to operate the service safely, prevent abuse, and honor purchases.

5. Model Improvement Controls

Some users may allow de-identified product samples to improve Vedic AI systems. You can disable model-improvement participation from the app privacy settings. We do not use raw payment credentials, passwords, or authentication tokens for model training.

6. Image Retention

Images submitted for palm or face readings are processed for the requested feature. Where temporary retention is needed for reliability, retry, support, or abuse prevention, raw source images are limited to a maximum of 30 days unless a shorter deletion path applies. Derived, de-identified technical outputs may be retained to maintain reading history, improve quality, and prevent abuse.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Sensitive server-side operations use access controls, service-role isolation, rate limiting, Play Integrity checks, and audit records. Mobile release builds use secure token storage and security checks designed to reduce account takeover and fraud risk.

8. Retention and Deletion

You can request account deletion in the Android app or at https://vedicai.co.in/delete-account. After a 7-day safety grace period, we delete or irreversibly de-identify account data, profile data, authentication records, birth details, chat history, notification tokens, saved readings, and preferences from active systems.

Some records may be retained where legally or operationally required, such as purchase, tax, refund, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, or audit records. We keep these only for the period required for those purposes.

9. Your Choices

  • Change app and report language in settings.
  • Enable or disable product analytics in privacy settings.
  • Enable or disable model-improvement participation in privacy settings.
  • Control notification permission from Android system settings and in-app notification settings.
  • Request account deletion from the app or website.
